The Van Pelt – The Infinite Me
Buckhead Beach

Recognize this track because I sure don’t. I probably should have just posted the audio file since the video is so dark, but I’ve never seen another Van Pelt video so here it is in all it’s dark lo-fi glory. If you look back in TSOI’s archives, you can find another Van Pelt live audio recording I recorded way back in 1996.

Update: Thanks to Jeff for IDing the track.

  1. That makes sense why I didn’t recognize it, I never bought that Lapse cd. I am digging the track though, I’ll have to check it out. It almost has a Hoover/CHR feel to it. Or maybe I’m thinking that because the bass is so loud.

Oh, you’re right about the YouTube footage, I have seen that. I should have said that I didn’t have any other VP video footage…

  2. Yeah you should check out the Lapse, though I actually like his more recent stuff (Vague Angels) even more. I pretty much like everything Chris Leo has done that I have heard, it seems like he keeps improving. Moreso than his more famous brother, I would say. Or maybe it’s just me getting old and continuing to relate to his music…

  3. Good call on the Vague Angels tracks. They are certainly worth looking into. And I never put the Ted/Chris thing together, I had no idea…huh.
