We were fortunate enough to score a couple of tickets to the Burning Flight Book Release Show at The Glasshouse a couple of weeks ago. As I had seen all the bands playing (except Portraits of Past) in their heyday, the desire was more out of curiosity than anything else. I ended up really liking the Portraits of Past set (which I will be posting up as a Monday Set in the not too distant future) and surprisingly I liked Swing Kids’ set more now than I did when I saw them a couple of times in 1995. A note about the recording, we were standing on the left side of the stage where they were having a problem with one of the guitar amps, so you can hear a hum cut in and out throughout the set. Pretty minor annoyance and really only noticeable in between songs anyway.
