The Casual Dots – Driving In My Car (Live)

I found out a couple of months ago that Christina Billotte did a one-off solo show here in Los Angeles a couple of years ago and I missed it. I guess she handful of Casual Dots songs along with a few from Quix*O*Tic and Slant 6. The last time I saw her perform was with The Casual Dots in Pomona which was right after their record had been released. This song is from their performance at The Knitting Factory in New York back in 2004.

Magnolia Electric Co. – Baton Rouge – 9/27/2006

The terrible news yesterday was of Jason Molina’s passing. Jason was the force behind the Songs: Ohia moniker (largely for his own solo work) and Magnolia Electric Co (which saw him working with a regular band). I saw Jason perform three times, in 2004 (Charlottesville), 2006 (Baton Rouge), and 2007 (New Orleans). I spoke with him on two of those occasions. (More...)
