Lungfish – Put Your Hand In My Hand
Midtown Music Hall
Atlanta, GA

Knowing full well that the other writer for TSOI, Avalanche, will start an all-out boycott campaign against this website if I say anything bad about Lungfish, I will just resolve myself to write that “they are not my thing.” The source of this video is a 3+ hour compilation tape that I’m in the process of converting so a few other rare clips like this will find their way up on the site in the next couple of weeks.

  1. Awwww – come on, Lungfish rule! Great post – these guys are cosmic ambassadors. Next time you go on a road trip, listen to their albums back to back. The trip will fly by.

  2. This was taken in Macon, GA by Jason Griffin, currently of the band American Cheesebuger. I am pretty sure the video was from the Rainbows from Atoms tour in May 1994, which my band at the time played with them and Brainiac. One of the best shows of my life. It is possible that the footage could be from before this time, but it was definitely not after that as Lungfish didn’t come through the south until Sound In Time came out with their 2nd bassplayer. The original one is in this video.

The flyer from that show with Lungfish and Brainiac is here: http://beyondfailure.blogspot.com/2008/05/car-vs-driver-flyers.html

  3. Thanks James for the info. I was able to update the post to include the info. And I just realized I didn’t have a link to Beyond Failure under the links section! It’s there now.

  4. This is phenomenal footage. PLEASE post more clips. I’m a huge, longtime Lungfish fan. If anyone wants to share Lungfish live music, please contact me.

  5. preparing a documentary film on LUNGFISH with daniel Higgs, Asa Osbourne and Mitchell Feldstein, we’re looking for live archives like this very rare put your hand in my hand. please contact me : my mail gillespate@gmail.com thanks !
