I pulled out and listened to a couple of my old Earwig 12″s a few days ago and remembered how great those first recordings were. I should really track down the “Past” compilation cd on Soulseek so I can listen to those songs more often. This song is a live recording of one of my favorite tracks off of the “Under My Skin I Am Laughing” record and was recorded in Belgium in 1991.

Magnolia Electric Co. – Baton Rouge – 9/27/2006
The terrible news yesterday was of Jason Molina’s passing. Jason was the force behind the Songs: Ohia moniker (largely for his own solo work) and Magnolia Electric Co (which saw him working with a regular band).
