Looking back, Dissent were probably the band that had the single greatest influence on me. Not only were they the band that opened me up to the world of political punk rock instead of the shitty metal I was listening to at the time, but they were also the first band that exposed me to animal rights issues. So I would like to thank them for that, and I’m sure the thousands of animals I haven’t eaten in the last 16 years probably thank them as well.
