Peter Murphy
Highline Ballroom
New York City, NY

A track from this show was featured some time ago and since, quite a few requests have made for the whole set. Now seems to be as good as time as any to oblige. This is a set from Peter Murphy’s recent Secret Cover tour whos name refers to a series of covers that Peter Murphy has recently released. See Secret Cover for more info.

I suspect the tour was largely to keep his live chops up while recording his new album which he alluded to during the show. Note that this was the first night of two, so if you happen to go to the second, I would be curious if you have any comments on difference between the two shows. Enjoy.

  1. thanks for this TSOI! i caught this tour in PA just a day or so away from this date. The setlists were almost identical if I recall(we got an audience requested Marlene Dietrich’s Favourite Poem early on, i guess instead of Cuts You Up…and Space Oddity closed the show). The eight new songs bode well for his upcoming album.

  2. I would love to check this out, but it downloads in .flac format, not .mp3. Maybe I’m missing something? Thanks. Love your site!

  3. Hi!
Great Concert!I was there there the 2nd night!Had some funny conversation with Peter.Does anybody have a recoeding or vids of the 2n. Show at Highland must be the 7th!Please post them somewhere or put your vids on youtube! Thanks a million!!!!!

  4. I didn’t make it to the second show hence no recording (from me anyway). I did catch him earlier in the year at The Blender Theater (type ‘Peter Murphy’ in the search to see archive).
Note that Peter is very anti-pictures/video so you will find it hard to even find a photo.

So you talked to Peter? Do tell.
