Evidently Brooklyn, NY’s Calla has been to a few Echo & The Bunnymen/Ian McCulloch shows to know that Ian McCulloch often ends his show with a original song/cover song medley (original / Velvet Underground / mumbling / James Brown / etc.) before heading into the inevitable “Ocean Rain”. Calla here takes the tip and ends their set with their own “Fear of Fireflies” which
morphs into “Lover,Lover,Lover” from Ian McCulloch‘s Mysterio. What is sadly absent, however, is Mac the Mouth’s mumbling about wanting to be a Football coach or whatever he rambles about during “break-it-down” parts of the song.
