Morrissey – Hairdresser On Fire (Vini Reilly Mix)

I got this song as part of a Viva Hate Demos outtakes disk that I traded for a couple of years ago. Along with a few rough mixes, alternate takes, and songs in the wrong key there was this amusing recording of “Hairdresser On Fire” sung by Vini Reilly who played guitar on this record. Vini, who is better know for his work as the Durutti Column, does a manageable job of imitating Morrissey on this throw-away track but I don’t remember him being such a bad singer on any of the DC releases.
