Do you remember The Busy Signals? No, not the Chicago punk rock band, but the Minneapolis based moniker for Howard W. Hamilton III. Well, he’s back with a drummer in tow in a new band named Red Pens. Throwing out the electronic beats and picking up a guitar and a love for all things shoegaze, Red Pens are churning out some seriously catchy tracks and creating quite a bit of buzz. Their debut record “Reasons” which came out last year could have easily made it on my top 10 had I heard it in time.
