TSOI surprisingly has a lot of bands who read the site and it’s always a treat when a reader submits their own group and it ends up being really good. Quinn from Chicago’s Sleep Out has been a long-time reader and has actually supplied me with some of the footage that you will find in the TSOI archives. I’ve written about his band before, but they have a new-ish record out which he forwarded to me. I have to say, the first song off of the new record “Not Even Dust” is one of the best things I’ve heard this year. It’s one of those tracks that you play 20 times in a row when you first hear it. I spent a good deal of time listening to the record this past Sunday and it’s a keeper.

Sleep Out is amazing. See them live. Good stuff.
Agreed. It sounds like they might make it out to Portland/Seattle this fall. Here’s hoping they come down here.
