This song is a bit of a departure from what I usually post, but one genre of music that I love is ’60 soul. Especially ’60s soul that’s sung by girls and this track is hand down one my favorites. Helene Smith was a relatively unknown girl out of Miami on the Deep City label and the only info that I’ve found about her has been on various compilation CDs. This track comes from the unbelievably great “Way With The Girls” compilation on Goldmine.
