When I moved out of my parent’s house after I graduated from high school, the one thing that I really wanted to be able to do was to have a place where I could put on shows. Fortunately we found a house that had a basement in a bad neighborhood where no one cared if there was loud music at all hours of the night. We called the place “The MN Academy of Gung Fu” or “House of Gung Fu” for short. The band that christened our basement was The Creepers. It was their first show as well and they were awesome. This song is from their one and only 7″ which was put out a couple of years after that first show. In fact, the photo on the cover of the 7″ was taken in our basement.
