I’ve never really paid much attention to Sonic Youth, but I got a copy of their forthcoming cd “Rather Ripped” and decided to put it in the cd player to check it out. I was surprised at how much I liked it. It was so good in fact that I am considering buying their back catalog. The cd is being released on June 13th, but you can stream the full record on their site. Hopefully David Geffen won’t come knocking on my door with Johnny Law for posting this track.

sonic youth is one of the best bands that have existed in our time…daydream nation is an album that consistently gets better as i grow older.
they have some clunkers in their catalog, but finding the right albums is key to a joyous sonic youth experience…the last album, sonic nurse, was actually pretty good too. thanks for the track!
