I know that Daniel Ash has a tendency to play Tones On Tail songs when he does solo shows, but I wasn’t aware that Love And Rockets had ever played them live. Out of all the live Love and Rockets recordings that I have, this recording from their December 1985 show in Chicago, IL is the only one I have that has them playing this cover. Definitely a rare find.

This song was off of one of the “Jabberjaw” benefit 7″s that were released. I’ve been a casual Brainiac fan since I saw them live years ago. They put on one heck of a live show and it’s certainly a tragedy that their singer was killed. I must give them credit for picking such a great band to cover, but I don’t know about that keyboard part… But I do have to admit that I would have loved to hear them play this song live.
