I’ve never cared much about Husker Du or The Replacements, but I think that the best music to come out of Minneapolis (besides Prince) was The Strike. I didn’t attend this Columbus Fest, but this video of The Strike shows they put on an awesome show.

The Minneapolis Punk Fest was a huge three day festival in 1996. The goal of the event was to have different types of punk bands all play one fest as well as highlighting some of the Twin Cities’ best local bands. The Strike ended their set with this great Sham 69 cover. Enjoy.
