The Legendary Pink Dots/Big City Orchestra
Tryst 7 Cassette
1994
Back in 1994 I ordered this split cassette that was limited to 200 copies. The Legendary Pink Dots track is a mix of old material into a new “mega-mix” song. The interesting thing about this release is that BCO and LPD both produced two mixes, so there are actually 4 different editions of this cassette floating around. This is cassette number 93/200 and was packaged with a bunch of miscellaneous items like a magazine, buttons, toys, stickers, etc.
Setlist:
1. The Legendary Pink Dots – The Politics of Excess
2. Big City Orchestra – Biegciteyorkatraw

The Legendary Pink Dots kick off a tour next month in support of their forthcoming album “Plutonium Blonde.” This has to be close to album number 30 for them since beginning back in 1982. From what I’ve heard of this new record, it offers more of the same great songs I’ve come to expect from them since I first heard them in the late ’80s. And as the press release that was included with this track states, it’s “their most commercially appealing album to date.” I would have to agree.
