I don’t recognize this song, but I have to confess that I haven’t converted a lot of my Harriet The Spy 7″s to mp3s yet and I was too lazy to pull them out and listen to them to figure it out. I had the opportunity to see HTS a couple of times and seeing this video makes me remember why they were one of my favorite live bands.
Update: Thanks to Ben for ID-ing the song. And after a quick Google search, apparently a lot of their 7″ recordings are all on the “Anthology” CD, which I need to get ASAP…
Out of all the bands that ever played at my house or stayed at my house, I think that Harriet The Spy were some of the nicest individuals I ever dealt with. They also were the first of many great bands to come out of Kent, Ohio. To this day, I remember that the first show I put on for them had 5 bands and only about 15 people showed up, so every band got paid $7. The good thing is that most of the people who saw them play bought a record, I know I did. This song is from the split 7″ with Grain on FKG Records that I bought at that show.
