I had a request for this show a couple of months ago and I’m getting around to posting it. 2/3s of the band Earwig eventually became Insides who had a couple of fantastic releases on 4AD in the mid-90s. I have their early EPs on vinyl, but looking in my mp3 collection, I realized that I don’t have them digitally, so no complete track listing. If you have the names of the tracks, I would love it if you posted them in the comments.

I pulled out and listened to a couple of my old Earwig 12″s a few days ago and remembered how great those first recordings were. I should really track down the “Past” compilation cd on Soulseek so I can listen to those songs more often. This song is a live recording of one of my favorite tracks off of the “Under My Skin I Am Laughing” record and was recorded in Belgium in 1991.
Earwig’s 12″s and cds are next to impossible to find, so I was thrilled when I came across a guy in England who had live recordings. Earwig (not to be confused of the indie rock band from the mid-west) released their first record on the fantastic La-Di-Da label in 1991 and two of the three members eventually went on to form the 4AD band Insides. This song comes from Earwig’s December 5th, 1991 show at Kortenburg Navy, Belgium. The recording quality is pretty poor, but I’m still grateful to have come across the recording.
