I always tell people that I’ve seen thousands of bands/groups play live, but I’ve only seen two people who I would actually call “performers.” One is the late/great James Brown and the other is Prince. I’ve seen him rock huge stadiums as well as small clubs and he never disappoints. He’s playing a string of dates at the Roosevelt Hotel here in Los Angeles and I’m sure it would be amazing, but I think I’ll be skipping it if it’s the rumored $3,000 ticket price. The last time I saw him I think I paid $7.

As a MAJOR Prince fan, this old stuff is like gold. Do you have the rest of this show? Or could you point me in the general direction? I have a soft spot for everything from “Dirty Mind” through “Purple Rain.” And he now has the distinction of the greatest Coachella performance ever. He utterly destroyed the place.
