When Ian split from Echo & The Bunnymen, his first solo release is one of my favorite things he has ever done. I’ve always been a Echo fan, but after “Candleland” came out, I really devoted some time to tracking down more of their obscure releases. I saw them live for the first time on their last tour which I think was last year, but unfortunately, I never had the chance to see any of Ian’s solo shows. This song comes from a show he played at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ back in 1991 which I think would have been when he was promoting the “Mysterio” release.

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you — marvelous! I loved Candleland too and even have some MAC rare records like “Blue Moon” “Pretiest Star” – this is a good one to add to the collection. Thanks!
